MAKE FRIENDS.
THE WORK WILL FOLLOW.
PROJECT DETAILS
I like the work here. A lot, actually. But this is more of a story of relationships and the fact that I make fast friends. Quriosity (a killer production company in Chicago) Director Kenneth Yoder and I met when we were working together on a Brookfield Zoo TV spot (he had his producer pants on that day). Think we saw a kindred-comedic spirit in each other, because we got close and continued to want to work together. When opportunities presented themselves, we made it happen. To me, one of the best parts of working in a creative field is the community you get to be a part of. I value the relationships I've made. And when more good work comes my way because of them, all the better.
comedy nerd warning
My experience as an improviser has come in handy myriad times. Company holiday videos. Singing parody songs to set the mood in client meetings. That sort of thing.
"Sparkles" was a spot I gave to Director Kenneth Yoder to help bolster his comedy directing credentials. "Don't work with children and animals," they said. "Shut up," we retorted.

This "Holiday Traditions" video came to life when Quriosity put Kenneth in charge of their holiday card. He tapped me to do some weird stuff, off the cuff, on the streets of Chicago.
