The year was 2007 and I was a fresh-faced (and unpaid) advertising intern with mounting debt and a side-hustle slinging sizzling fajitas at Chili's. My portfolio was...bad. But I wasn't. And when the Four Winds Casino account was looking for some TV for their big launch, I jumped at the opportunity to prove my talents. I wrote a lot of scripts. This one stood out. At the dismay of the people actually getting paid at the agency, my work was sold. A campaign was born. More importantly, I got my first job. Thankfully, Chili's was alright without me.
