Before my wife and kid, comedy was my one true love. I’ve spent nearly a decade and a half grinding it out in the Chicago comedy scene, creating work that was embarrassing at first and much better later on.

I’ve trained at and performed in every famous theater the city has to offer. Standup, sketch and improv—I’ve succeeded and failed at it all.

I’ve written and acted in four sketch shows (three were good).

I’ve written, acted, produced and assistant-edited a web series based on a sparkling alcohol spritz called Palm Breeze. I learned more working on Feelin’ Breezy than I ever did in college.

Comedy is an irrevocable part of who I am as a person. It comes with me everywhere I go. Most people are ok with that.

Feelin' Breezy

Creator - Writer - Actor - Producer

About this project: While performing at the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin, TX, my friends and I discovered a deliciously stupid sparkling spritz—Palm Breeze. We instantly fell in love (hard to say if it was ironic or not). A month later, I woke up in a fit and knew I had to make a web series about it.

I wrote the scripts, got a crew, cast and director, rented lighting and sound equipment, built a set, somehow found time to memorize my lines and...a lot, a lot more.

This boozy little daytime talk show was the result.

iO Comedy Network

Writer - Actor - Producer

About this project: iO Chicago was my comedy home (before it closed during COVID). Their Comedy Network gave me the opportunity to regularly make videos and share them with the world.

Hotline (the one on the left) caught a bit of fire and was viewed by over 170,000 people.

Proof Spoofs

Writer - Actor - Producer

About this project: While working at Proof, Beam Suntory's in-house ad agency, I was given the opportunity to create comedic videos to bring some levity to long presentations, say happy holidays to the company, etc. At the time, 50 Cent was the spokesperson for EFFEN Vodka (a Beam product). I figured their gin, Sipsmith, needed a spokesperson as well. So I create 50 Pence.

These mostly improvised videos were a hit company wide.
While the jokes may be a little inside, they still may be worth a watch.

MacGuire

(a sketch comedy team named after my family's dead dog)

Writer - Actor - Producer

About this project: I've written and performed two successful sketch shows at the Annoyance Theatre—arguably Chicago's most badass comedy venue.

I'm not going to make you sit through 2 hours of not-so-great footage of the shows.

But here's a song about my mom and dad having sex to create me.

Advertising can be funny too

Some good examples of me bringing my comedy skills to a gig that actually pays.
